“This is a cigar that my grandfather would have loved.”
– Bill Paley, Founder of La Palina Cigars
The La Palina El Año 1896 cigar, was created by Bill Paley Jr., grandson of Sam Paley, who founded La Palina Cigar Company in 1896, to celebrate over 100 years of craftsmanship producing cigars. Wrapped in a Mexican San Andres wrapper, filled and brimming with long fillers from Honduras and Nicaragua, and naturally box pressed, the El Año is certainly a palate pleaser. Bursting with a complex mixture of espresso, walnuts, leather, and earth, this cigar comes packed with both bold and sweet tobacco flavors, that are then aged to perfection. Much like the founder of La Palina, Sam Paley, who is still recognized today as the ultimate blend master, the El Año is considered one of the crown jewels in the La Palina portfolio, and a cigar for the generations that will stand the test of time.
